Product description
With an ironless rotor winding, the MOONS’ EC brushless DC motors achieve high torque and power density in a very small package to a level which is not achievable with a conventional BLDC motor.
The slotless design architecture results in no cogging and a wide dynamic performance with an operational lifetime of up to 20,000 hours. An encoder option is available, if required to provide accurate positioning.
The size range spans from 13mm to 30mm, with the 13mm diameter motors being available in long and short versions with 2 different power outputs.
To give a sense of the performance available, the 13x38mm motor offers speeds of up to 20,000rpm and holding torque to 5.6mNm.
The miniature size and ultra-performance characteristics of these brushless motors lend themselves well to applications in the medical and scientific sectors, especially where positional control is needed
