Slam lock for 10mm bars

A heavy-duty heel lock with "slam-latch" function. Often used in vehicle doors and the like where the lock grips around a round locking bar that is pushed in between the lock's springy lugs. These are fitted with small brass rollers to allow small movements. The lugs only open to push the bar into the lock. To remove the rod, pull the rod out lengthwise. This is facilitated by the brass rollers of the heels.

For use in large vehicles, the toe lock can be ordered pre-assembled in a spring-loaded mounting plate to give the entire toe lock a spring suspension that slides in threaded inserts, which absorb shear and lateral movement that can occur in large chassis, panels or doors. This spring-suspended combination (B) also prevents wear on the locking bar as the locking point springs softly in the application. Use Torx T-30 bit to mount version B.

The heel lock is adapted to a 10mm round lock bar with article number 282130-LLLL. This is supplied on request in the desired length (where LLLL indicates the length of the rod in mm) and is used together with a 10 mm adapter fitted with a loop: 282119-10. The adapter extends the total length by 14mm.
