STEGO

Heating element 8-13W - RC 016

RC

The RC 016 range of Stego heaters use a semiconductor PTC element that adapts its output to the ambient temperature and are designed for continuous operation.

The PTC element has a high starting current and provides full output almost immediately.

The current then falls quickly and the element is thereafter self-regulating, meaning that the warmer the surroundings, the less output produced by the element. These can be used with a thermostat if better control is required.

The heating element is best installed in small enclosures so as avoid condensation or that the temperature falls beneath the minimum. These are ideal for applications such as CCTV cameras to prevent fogging of lenses.

The new versions have improved design with higher resistance to vibration and better heat transfer.
