Inductive sensors

Inductive sensors are a type of proximity sensor that detect the presence of metallic objects without any physical contact. They are widely used in industrial automation, robotics, and other applications where reliable, contactless sensing of metallic objects is required. These sensors operate based on the principle of electromagnetic induction.

How Inductive Sensors Work:

Inductive sensors work by generating an electromagnetic field using an oscillating coil inside the sensor. When a metallic object, typically made of ferrous (iron-based) or non-ferrous metal, enters the electromagnetic field, it causes a disturbance in the field. This disturbance is detected by the sensor's circuitry, which then sends a signal to indicate the presence of the object.
