As it comes to the end of 2021 and we wish Managing Director, Richard Armstrong a happy retirement, we can look back on the support Richard and the staff at OEM has given to LOROS over the last three years.
LOROS is a Leicester based charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible.
Richards support for LOROS started in 2018 where he decided that LOROS would be the charity we at OEM would support. Since that 2018 we have raised over £20,000 for the local hospice.
The staff at OEM Automatic have taken pride supporting the fantastic charity and have been involved in half marathons, twilight walks, Christmas jumper days and bag packing volunteering to name a few fundraising activities.
Just this February, OEM Staff members Chris & George completed the Silverstone half marathon and raised £586.10 for LOROS.
The company has also supported LOROS with the sponsorship of a rocket in the 2021 Rocket Round Leicester event and gives regular cash donations.
“Most people living in the Leicester area have at least heard of LOROS or have unfortunately had reason to use their services. They really are a tremendous organisation and rely heavily on fundraising and donations to keep open. That’s why we are happy and proud to be associated with them and wish them all the best for the future”.
New managing director, Peter Evans, is keen to continue the support for LOROS Hospice and will continue with the regular donations and supporting the staff during fundraising events.
“The OEM team is very proud to be supporting such a worthy cause as the LOROS Hospice. We will all continue our efforts in 2022 and consider new ways to increase our contributions to the LOROS Hospice.”
