OEM has had cooperation with HMS for over 10 years with the original offering of Ewon Netbiter.
Now, we have added ANYBUS’s Bridge and Bolt which allow you to communicate wirelessly between any machines.
Do you have an ethernet cable and need a wireless bridge? Then the Anybus Bridge and Bolt with their super easy installation and robust communication, could be the perfect choice for you.
HMS Networks, incorporating the brands of Ewon, Anybus and Ixxat - twined with their own remote management unit “Netbiter”- develop and manufacture software and hardware for use in industrial applications.
Thanks to dual integrated technologies with WiFi and Bluetooth, the Anybus Bridge and Bolt are very flexible. With WiFi, you have the option of streaming large amounts of data, and with Bluetooth, you get a stable solution if you want to send data from a PLC instead.
The Anybus Wireless Bridge II is a wireless bridge
that supports up to 400 meters of reliable wireless communication via Bluetooth
or WLAN. Anybus Wireless Bridge II can also be used as an access point for
several WLAN/Bluetooth devices such as smartphones or tablets. The wireless
bridge II is ideal for hard-to-reach areas or hazardous areas where cables may
not be desirable.
With the Anybus Bolt, you can connect industrial machines and
devices to a wireless network. You attach the Bolt to a cabinet or machine to
enable wireless access and can thus configure or troubleshoot your machine
remotely.
The Anybus Bolt and Bridge II are versatile products and have been used in various different industries such as:
Automotive industry, where the Wireless Bolt allows communication between the different machines which the build cars – this offers a robust and stable solution for the factory and increases the efficiency and reduces the wiring needed which is ideal in environments with many moving parts.
Previously used in the automotive industry to connect automated guided vehicles (AGVs) to a factory’s industrial network. The AGVs were used to move specific components between production cells, this eliminated the need for humans to manually lift heavy components and increased the safety and efficiency of the operation. The Anybus products also support IEEE 802.11r standard for fast roaming, this is useful for applications where seamless connectivity is required across a factory floor especially for AGVs, this ensures the AGVs are always in contact with the network and are not delayed or interrupted due to connectivity being switched between access points.
The Anybus Wireless Bolt has been used in bakeries where industrial machines are used to mix large amounts of dough. The Anybus Bolt can be used to replace cables between a machine to a control cabinet and can eliminate the need for slip rings which reduces the number moving parts in the machine increasing reliability overall.
The Wireless Bolt has also been used in theatres with hundreds of moving stage lights, the wireless bolt eliminates the need for wires and allows for real-time control of the stage lights. The Anybus Wireless range is ideal for complex applications with a large number moving parts such as RGVs as it eliminates the wiring needed between PLCs in the RGV and the main control PLC this allows much more control over the movement of the RGV.
