THE FAMILY JUST GOT BIGGER – AND SMALLER

We are pleased to announce that our solenoid valve range has just got bigger and smaller, all at the same time!

For more than 40 years the L182/L282 normally closed and normally open range of solenoid valves has been the backbone of the pilot assisted solenoid valve ranges supplied by Zoedale Ltd.

THE FAMILY’S GOT BIGGER

This family of valves has always been available in BSP with an optional manual override facility but it’s now available across the whole range in NPT, and covers the complete range of valve sizes from 3/8” up to 2”. This addition has been driven by demand in the US.

The NPT and BSP valve options are also now available with latching coil technology. This allows a valve to be “pulsed” with DC voltage to open it, and then held open by a permanent magnet system (with no voltage applied). To close the valve, the control pulse is reversed and the valve is allowed to close.

With body materials in brass and stainless steel and seal materials in NBR, FKM and EPDM (as standard), the family provides a comprehensive offering across a multitude of media applications including air, water and light oils.

THE FAMILY’S GOT SMALLER TOO!

So…… How has the range got smaller?

"We've now got a more eco-friendly and sustainable option in the range," said Andrew Jakeman of Zoedale “as we’ve introduced coils with a reduced power consumption compatible with both the L182 and L282."

These coils mounted on the established valve technology offer an option for slightly lower pressure ratings than the standard valve range.

"Utilising the valve with the lower consumption coil means that we can, in our own small way, take some of those important steps towards saving the planet’s resources," added Steve Hood of Emerson. "And the added bonus is that the total operating costs of the valve are reduced."

BETTER AND MORE FLEXIBLE
