KUBLER presents their new measuring wheel system – MWE02

If you are looking for a measuring wheel system that offers reliable speed, position and distance measurement – the new Kubler MWE02 is right for you! The new MWE02 compact measuring wheel system has been created for linear motion applications.

The MWE02 measuring wheel system consists of a spring arm, encoder and measuring wheel.

Applications

Typically, you would find this measuring wheel in applications such as conveyor belts, wood processing, labelling and printing machines and inkjet/laser printers, to name a few.

Common industries are general engineering, warehouse logistics and the wood, glass, packaging and textile industry. 

Reliability

Rotary encoders are mounted onto the drive shaft as standard; however, Kublers' measuring wheel system is installed directly onto the measuring surface. This results in the accurate, direct and reliable recording of the measurement data. 

The integrated spring allows the measuring wheel's contact pressure, which ensures the reliable recording of speed. In addition, the integrated spring ensures maximum robustness of the measuring wheel system and thus ensures a long service life. 

The integrated spring facilitates reliable and accurate measurement as it compensates for the unevenness of the measuring surface.

  • Measuring wheels for different measuring surfaces: Available with O-ring NBR70, smooth plastic (polyurethane) or cross knurled (aluminium) surface in 200 mm and 6" diameters.
  • Integrated mechanical spring travel limiter.
  • Matching accessories such as mounting brackets for the appropriate adaptation complete the overall package of flexibility.
