The 359 series provides an enhanced version of DOGA’s existing 259 motor range and in this article, we take a look at the key characteristics of the original 259 model and outline the new features offered by the 359 series.
DOGA develop and manufacture a range of industrial motor solutions that are used across many different automation applications, including agriculture, marine and access control, as well as in general industrial situations. Core products include both wiper type DC gear motors with a right-angle drive, and a range of DC ‘motor only’ options.
The 359 series offers all the power and performance of the original 259 series. This provides users with a compact, low noise, and cost-effective solution to applications where very high starting torque of up to 135Nm is required.
Some key characteristics of the 259 DC gear motors:
The DOGA 359 series builds on the list above by offering upgraded ingress protection to IP66, through use of improved sealing and a new wiring harness connector. The IP66 rating provides total protection from dust ingress, and resistance to high pressure water, allowing the product to now be used in more hostile environments.
It is worth bearing in mind that for small to medium quantities, DOGA offers customisations for a solution better tailored to individual applications. These adaptations could include change to the output shaft, supply voltage, gear wheel material, cabling/connectors, gear ratios and motor windings.
